1,000 residents fight to keep Portsmouth public toilet open

A campaigner managed to get 1,095 people to sign a document calling on the Portsmouth city council to reconsider its decision to close a public toilet located in a very busy area, a news report in the local media has revealed.

The toilet is just one of 12 toilets that have been closed by the local authority as it tries to make £200,000 worth of savings. However, due to its location, it makes it extremely difficult for users to go elsewhere.
