Calderdale Council over-estimates toilet refurbishment costs

A local council has come under fire for grossly over-estimating the costs of refurbishing a public toilet block and deciding to sell it, rather than bring it back into use.

Calderdale Council has proposed selling the old toilets near Brighouse bus station because the costs associated to their refurbishment were simply too high – an estimate 200,000 pounds.
