Public toilets in Huddersfield and Dewsbury set for closure in just two months’ time

Public toilets across Huddersfield and Dewsbury are set to be closed off in just eight weeks’ time, but the local council says that volunteers still have time to save them, a news report in the local media was able to reveal.

The Kirklees Council officially revealed that it cannot support running the attended toilets in Albion Street, Huddersfield, Holmfirth and Longcauseway, Dewsbury, and plans to close them as of early October.

New public toilets are officially opened in Hailsham

The Mayor of Hailsham in East Sussex was recently joined by several other town officials for the official opening of the brand new public conveniences located in the town’s North Street, a recent report in the local media was able to reveal.

The facilities have been built within a central building leased long-term by the local authority and are free to use and open to the public seven days a week, 8am to 8pm.

Willingdon public toilets could be saved by local parish council

Willingdon’s public toilets could be saved following discussions between the Willingdon and Jevington Parish Council and the Wealden District Council and East Sussex County Council, a news report in the local media was able to reveal.

The district council planned to shut the public toilets at the Triangle in Willingdon from March 2015, but Willingdon and Jevington Parish Council expressed its opposition and sent forth a counter-proposal.

Public toilet charges set for 50 percent hike in Cambridge
