Public toilets in Baildon reopened following refurbishment

Public toilets across Baildon were officially re-opened recently after undergoing an extensive makeover, a recent news report in the local media has been able to suggest.

Baildon Town Council has formally accepted the transfer of the public toilets in the town, and will be fully responsible for their running and maintenance from now on. 

The move came after Bradford Council’s decision to withdraw all budget provision for the toilets.

Bus station toilets opening hours cut following anti-social behaviour

A bus company was forced to cut opening hours for the lavatories in one of its stations due to vandalism, a recent news report in the local media has revealed.

Bus company Stagecoach has been forced to limit opening times for public toilets at Dundee’s bus station – closing them between 5pm-7.30am each day because of repeated attacks.

The UK’s best and worst public toilets revealed by new survey

A survey of toilet users by Soap Supplier has managed to find the best and worst rated toilets across the whole of the UK. Unfortunately, the worst ranking public conveniences were the ones in Lisburn in Northern Ireland, followed closely by Southampton and Portsmouth.
 
Users said they dished out low ratings for bad smells, no toilet roll, no mirrors, no soap, toilets that don’t flush and broken hand dryers.
 
The best were in Worcester, with a sparkling rating of 6.7 out of 10.
