A controversy has engulfed a parish over plans for a church toilet. The WC and server are aimed to be built in the aisle of the church in Dunster, Somerset. Sixty-one people have so far signed an on-line petition against the proposed alterations to the 600-year-old building. The parochial church council has said the loo scheme is designed to “promote its future worship, mission and ministry”. However if the development goes ahead, between 40 and 100 seats could be lost.
