Councillors rejected a release of thousands of pounds to help rent out public toilets for use as a restaurant on Tuesday night (September 27, 2011). A scheme was put forward to hire out the public conveniences in Epping, near London, in a bid to save in maintenance costs while boosting rental revenue. The argument was that whoever chose to hire the premises agreed to keep the toilets open to the public. However this idea was narrowly turned down.
Councillors can boost their revenue by installing Toilet Turnstiles’ coin operated access control turnstiles which can help provide public conveniences to a good standard and generate revenue for their general day to day maintenance. For extra refinement in a restaurant or lobby environment, Glass Turnstiles will give you all the benefits of controlling access to your toilet facilities, yet fit seamlessly and elegantly where appearance is equal to functionality. These are available in half height or full height models to suit your organisation’s needs on space.
